What's my vision for Thornton?

Building Thornton's Tomorrow, Today

My dream for Thornton is simple: a vibrant community where we can afford to buy homes, raise our families, and truly live, work, and play without long commutes or the fear of being priced out of the city we love. I believe in lifting others up, because Thornton should be a place where everyone’s dreams have the chance to grow.  True leadership isn’t about one voice—it’s about all of us, coming together to shape a shared future we can all be proud of.

Let’s build the best of Thornton, together.

My Priorities

For more information, please click on the drop-down menu for each issue.

Our community should be a place where everyone feels secure and prepared whether at home, at work, or walking through their neighborhood. That starts with strengthening emergency readiness and fully supporting the first responders who protect us every day, both during and after their service.

But true public safety goes beyond emergency response. It means:

  • Preventing crime before it happens through smart, community-based strategies.
  • Expanding access to mental health support and crisis intervention to reduce strain on emergency systems and provide compassionate care to those in need.
  • Addressing homelessness with both urgency and humanity, recognizing it as a public safety, public health, and housing challenge that requires collaboration and long-term solutions.
  • Protecting local businesses from theft, vandalism, and other threats because a safe, vibrant business community benefits us all.
  • Addressing preventative solutions to street racing on 144th

I’m committed to working with police, fire, emergency management, mental health professionals, and community leaders to build a city where safety is not a privilege—it’s a promise.

Health is the one thing we all have in common—no matter who we are or where we come from. Without it, we have nothing. That’s why protecting and improving our community’s health is my top priority.

I will support policies that:

  • Improve air and water quality, ensuring every resident has access to clean, safe natural resources.
  • Strengthen water and resource security to safeguard our vital supplies against shortages and contamination, so Thornton remains resilient for generations to come.
  • Expand recreational opportunities so families can stay active and connected to nature.
  • Increase access to healthy, affordable food.
  • Reduce environmental and public health risks that contribute to chronic illness, cancer, and other preventable diseases.

I believe Thornton should be a place where families can thrive—where we focus not just on treating illness, but on preventing it. Let’s build a healthier, more sustainable future together—one where every child, every parent, and every senior has the chance to live a long, healthy life in the city they love.

I’m committed to fighting for smart, sustainable solutions that make housing attainable for everyone—whether you’re a growing family, a young adult starting out, or a senior looking to age in place. No one should be priced out of the community they love.

That means protecting property values while promoting a diverse range of housing options—different sizes and styles that adapt to every phase of life.

It also means ensuring that community input guides the development of the neighborhoods we want, so we build a future that reflects our shared dreams and values.

Together, we can create a Thornton where everyone has a place to call home—now and for generations to come.

By attracting forward-thinking companies, supporting local entrepreneurs, and expanding job training opportunities, we’ll create real, lasting career paths that prepare our community for the future.

I’m committed to making it easier for local businesses to open, grow, and thrive right here in Thornton because when our businesses succeed, our whole community benefits.

By reimagining creative business hubs and vibrant, walkable commercial areas, we’ll build places where the next generation actually wants to live, work, and connect.

Together, we can create a local economy that fuels opportunity, innovation, and prosperity for everyone.

Our growing community deserves smarter transit, safer bike and walking paths, and well-maintained roads built to last. I’m committed to investing in innovative, tech-driven solutions that reduce congestion, improve connectivity between neighborhoods, and create safer, more accessible streets for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Through long-term planning and forward-thinking upgrades, we can build a transportation system and infrastructure that meet the needs of today and the opportunities of tomorrow.
